Singapore, 11th January 2021 - PANASONIC, a global electronics industry giant, announced its strategic partnership with Anchanto, a leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) company, to streamline its e-commerce and logistics operations across the Asia-Pacific region. Through the partnership, Panasonic will leverage Anchanto’s e-warehouse management solutions such as its omnichannel order management system (OMS) to improve its e-commerce capabilities across the Asia-Pacific region.
Jake Hirose, managing director of Panasonic corporation said, “Through our partnership with Anchanto, we will be able to expand both our business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) verticals. With Anchanto’s advanced warehouse management technology, we can now offer direct - to - consumer services and ensure a seamless omnichannel experience for our customers. This new initiative will also help to educate our customers on our latest promotional offerings, after-sale services and better installation support.”
With the global pandemic in 2020 accelerating the shift towards digital commerce, an increasing number of consumers have grown accustomed to online shopping behaviours. Due to changing consumer trends, the retail and electronics sector has seen a surge in e-commerce sales. As part of its business continuity plan for 2021, Panasonic will be deploying its omnichannel retail strategy to drive consumer engagement and bring coherence to its business operations. The corporation will focus on building its online presence with Anchanto for a unique customer experience and digital transformation.

The corporation has also announced its plans to expand to Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam in the near future.
The scope of future expandability was one of the prime areas of concern for Panasonic when choosing a technical partner and the reason behind selecting Anchanto’s platform for this digital transformation. Anchanto’s readymade solutions and their strong presence within the APAC region is another driving factor behind this partnership. Panasonic will be able to benefit from their scalable technology and also tap into their extensive connections in 53 marketplaces across 14 different countries, allowing them to quickly integrate and commence their e-commerce operations.
Anchanto uses technological innovation to provide a simple and user-friendly eWMS platform that offers an integrated order fulfillment system, inventory management system and real-time monitoring of goods. Anchanto provides a range of integrated SaaS solutions to e-tailers, omnichannel retailers, 3PLs and brand commerce companies. With its rapid scaling in the earlier half of 2020, the company broke profitability and raised investment funds of S$16.6 million.
